Here is a great list of upcoming events and seminars involving breastfeeding:

April 28-29, 2011: Lamaze Breastfeeding Support Specialist Workshop at Saint Elizabeth Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, NE

May 7^th, 2011: La Leche League is holding its Breastfeeding and Parenting Conference in Omaha, NE.

May 26^th, 2011: Quarterly Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition Meeting at Bellevue Medical Center in Bellevue, NE (Outside of Omaha).

June 4^th, 2011: MilkWorks is holding two major fundraising events this year. A family carnival will be held outside of Lincoln this summer. More information to come. The other will be a “Milk and Cookies” (milk-based martinis and cookies) Party at the home of Patty Gardner in Lincoln. The cost is $40 and all proceeds go to help MilkWorks. August 24^th, 2011: The Olson Center is holding the Breastfeeding: Baby's Natural Choice Conference on August 24^th at the Qwest Center in Omaha, NE

August 30^th, 2011: Quarterly Nebraska Breastfeeding Coalition Meeting, Grand Island Location TBD

September 12-16, 2011: The Healthy Children’s Center for Breastfeeding is offering the Lactation Counselor Certificate Program (CLC) in Fremont September 12-16, 2011 and in Lincoln on March 19-23, 2012 and June 11-15, 2012. Omaha will also be holding this course, as well as making scholarships available. Stay tuned for more information on the Omaha course.

October 13^th, 2011: Public Health Association of Nebraska is holding its annual conference on October 13^th and 14^th in Grand Island.
